Codan Broadcast delivers Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games

When Global Television won the contract to build the International Broadcast Centre at the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games they turned to Codan Broadcast. We responded in the only way we know how - fast! In all there were around 600 products supplied across all our product lines - routers, interface products and monitoring bridges. At project completion George Miller, Project Manager, wrote to Justin Adams, Sales and Marketing Manager of Codan Broadcast. "The Games are now over and I wish to thank Codan, your staff, in particular the late great John Stankovich (retired not RIP) and yourself for the product, advice, assistance and support in bringing this project to a very successful conclusion. TWI, the host broadcaster was extremely pleased with the IBC facility. Global Television could not have met TWI's specification in both equipment and budget without Codan. Codan supplied 60% of the equipment in the transmission, distribution and monitoring circuits; there were no problems, faults or complaints for the 12 days of the Games. Your patience through the design and construction phase, with so many changes, your exemplary support through the commissioning and the spare units supplied to cover the operation was much more that we expected, nothing was too much of a problem; what's more, it did not cost a penny.
