RCP-SN — SpinKnob
Multi-page Programmable SpinKnob Controller

Manual Service Bulletins Firmware FAQs

The RCP-SN Spin-Knob is a fully featured 2RU panel with multiple user modes. A large high contrast LCD display with LED backlight annunciates the functions of 12 soft keys, eliminating printed labels - ideal for applications where labels are changed frequently.

The large display area also provides additional space for special features, including the ability to store links between normal video/audio labels and machine control labels, allowing users to automatically switch machine control in the background.  Another special feature is a secure machine control mode where a new connection must be acknowledged by a second operator. A spin-knob provides quick access to paged labels, while a bookmark feature stores favourite pages for instant access. For monitoring use, the multimode can be user selected to view the status of six destinations simultaneously.

A set of mini salvo presets can be configured and stored locally at the panel. A set of fixed function keys select source / destination mode, chop, salvo, protect and breakaway. Each panel may be configured to operate in an X-Y or single bus mode. Key assignments are created with the Geneos graphical user interface and then a unique personality can be downloaded to each individual panel. After major system changes, control panels may be re-cycled with new personalities without the limitations of fixed function panels. Each panel can be assigned any portion of the router with an individual set of labels and panel layout, and can also be configured to access the machine control layer. A lock function can be used to remove all local programming functions from the panel.
